Jurnal Pengabdian dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (ABDI DAYA KU) employs a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality, validity, and relevance of the research we publish. The process is designed to provide constructive feedback to authors and to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

1. Submission:

  • Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal's online submission system. All submissions must comply with the journal's guidelines and formatting requirements.

2. Initial Screening:

  • Upon receipt, each manuscript is initially screened by the editorial team to ensure it meets the basic requirements for submission. Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal’s guidelines or are outside the scope of the journal will be returned to the authors without further review.

3. Plagiarism Check:

  • Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are subjected to a plagiarism check using reputable plagiarism detection software. Any manuscript that shows significant similarities with previously published work will be rejected immediately.

4. Assignment to Editor:

  • Manuscripts that pass the plagiarism check are assigned to an appropriate editor based on their expertise. The editor will oversee the review process for the manuscript.

5. Reviewer Selection:

  • The editor selects at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. Reviewers are chosen based on their expertise, publication history, and availability. The peer review process is double-blind, ensuring that both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous.

6. Review Process:

  • Reviewers are asked to evaluate the manuscript based on its originality, significance, methodology, clarity, and contribution to the field. They provide detailed comments and recommendations for the authors, and submit their reviews within a specified time frame, typically 4-6 weeks.

7. Editorial Decision:

  • Based on the reviewers' reports, the editor makes one of the following decisions:
    • Accept: The manuscript is accepted for publication without further revisions.
    • Minor Revisions: The manuscript requires minor changes, and the authors are invited to revise and resubmit.
    • Major Revisions: The manuscript requires substantial changes, and the authors are asked to revise and resubmit for further review.
    • Reject: The manuscript is rejected based on the reviewers' feedback.

8. Revision and Resubmission:

  • If revisions are required, authors must address the reviewers' comments and resubmit the revised manuscript within the specified deadline. The revised manuscript may be sent back to the original reviewers for further evaluation.

9. Final Decision:

  • Once the revisions are deemed satisfactory, the editor makes the final decision on the manuscript. Accepted manuscripts proceed to the production stage for copyediting, formatting, and publication.

10. Publication:

  • Accepted manuscripts are published online in the next available issue of the journal. Authors are notified of the publication schedule and provided with proofs for final approval before publication.

11. Post-Publication:

  • After publication, authors are encouraged to share their work widely. The journal also promotes published articles through various academic and professional networks to enhance visibility and impact.

By adhering to this peer review process, ABDI DAYA KU ensures that the research we publish is of the highest quality and makes a significant contribution to the field of community service and empowerment.
